Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan will be hosting a series of job fairs in the coming weeks at “JIFFY” mixes (Chelsea Milling Company) in Chelsea, Michigan. Three fairs are scheduled for the following dates/times:
- Friday, June 26th from 8am – 11am;
- Tuesday, June 30th from 4pm – 7pm; and
- Thursday, July 2nd from 11am – 2pm.
Michigan Still Among Strongest Employment Outlooks for Q3
The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey was released today by ManpowerGroup, revealing U.S. employers’ hiring intentions are among the strongest globally for the third quarter of 2015. Taking into account seasonal variations, the Net Employment Outlook is +16%, which is on par with Q2 2015 and up from Q3 2014 when the Outlook was +14%.
Among U.S. employers surveyed, 24% expect to add to their workforces, 4% expect a decline in their payrolls , 70% anticipate making no change to staff levels, and the remaining 2% are undecided about their Q3 2015 hiring plans. … Read More

10th Annual Talent Shortage Survey Reveals Shortage Persists
ManpowerGroup released their 10th annual Talent Shortage Survey last week and the percentage of employers experiencing difficulties filling job vacancies due to talent shortages continued to rise.
Forty-three percent of U.S. employers say talent shortages are having a negative impact on their ability to meet client needs. Consequences include reduced competitiveness and productivity (41%), increased employee turnover (32%), higher compensation costs (32%), and reduced employee engagement/morale (32%).
When asked why they are struggling to fill certain jobs, employers cite a lack of applicants (33%), lack of experience (19%), and lack of technical competencies or hard skills (17%).… Read More
