Our client, a European luxury and commercial vehicle automotive brand, in Ann Arbor is currently seeking a team player and detail oriented individual to work as an Engineering Technician! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that starts immediately. Apply today!

Location:  Ann Arbor, MI

Compensation: Based on experience – WEEKLY PAY!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Developing PMP Checklists which are used by dealers and customers to perform maintenance on products
  • Compiling checklists which contain between 150 and 300 steps on procedures, depending upon the machine or engine model, and includes maintenance or inspection procedures to be performed at each maintenance interval from daily through 2000 hours of operation
  • Making an estimate of the labor required to perform each checklist step and determine and list parts and tools required for each step, which Dealers use to calculate the cost of maintenance agreements they offer to customers
  • Meet cost standards by preparing cost-benefit analyses, and track and report expenses
  • Providing an accurate profile for each newly released machine and engine model as soon as possible after first production
  • Determine engineering requirements by conducting inspections and analytical tests, analyzing and synthesizing data, maintaining control charts, determining root causes, and preparing bid specifications
  • Recommend solutions and prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

Here’s What You Need To Apply:

  • Associate’s Degree in Automotive or Engineering Technology or related field
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50lbs
  • Computer experience
  • Basic ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations
  • Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
  • Basic ability to perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, and must be able to drive a car
  • Will need to be able to help in the parts department to help with setting up software inventory
