Washtenaw Community College – Fall Open House and Free College Day – 9/30/18

Washtenaw Community College is hosting their Fall Open House & Free College Day on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 11am-3pm. Stop by their campus and take part in a variety of activities and tours including:

  • Free College Day Classes. WCC faculty and community partners lead classes on a wide variety of topics, including: yoga, creative writing, personal finance, improvisation, photography and much more.   • Open House Scavenger Hunt. Join the hunt and complete the tour of WCC labs and you can enter for a chance to win an Apple Watch 3. You can also tour the College’s program areas and talk to faculty. You’ll can see an operating room, participate in a welding competition, view an art exhibit, try out airbrushing, see a 3D printer and dynamometer in action, and more
    Party in the Park. Have a blast at the mini-carnival with games and activities for kids of all ages.
  • Tell Me a Story. WCC librarian and well-known storyteller Jennifer Mann, will delight audiences in Community Park with an open forum of stories and tales from 12-1pm.
  • Open Arts – A Live Performance. Just when you thought you couldn’t have any more fun, join WCC students, faculty, staff and alumni as they showcase their artistic talents. This live performance will delight all ages with music, dance, poetry, and theatre. An artist reception will follow the presentation. Head to the Morris Lawrence Building to take part from 2:15-3:30pm.
  • Health & Wellness Center. While you’re on campus, be sure to tour WCC’s state-of-the-art, LEED certified Health & Wellness Center. Sign up for a membership after your tour and receive 75% off the base enrollment fee.
  • Cars & Bikes on Campus. Get your motor running for Washtenaw Community College’s 15th annual Cars and Bikes on Campus! Featuring cool cars, amazing motorcycles, and revved up competitions, this show is sure to thrill enthusiasts of all ages.

Pre-registration is not required for Open House or Cars & Bikes activities.
