Revision to Holiday Pay Benefit for 2021 Holidays

Please note that this revised holiday pay benefit applies only to Associates of the Manpower, Inc. of Southeastern Michigan franchise servicing Washtenaw and Monroe Counties.

Effective January 1, 2021 and for the 2021 holiday schedule only, Manpower is revising the qualifications for the holiday pay benefit.

Previously, associates needed to have worked 1,800 hours during the 12 months preceding the holiday as one of the qualifying factors. However, due to the impacts of COVID-19 in 2020, we recognize that many work schedules were interrupted. Therefore, we are temporarily reducing this minimum hour requirement to 1,500 hours to make qualifying for holiday pay more accessible for our associates.

Please note this revision in hours will apply only to those who are eligible for holidays in the 2021 calendar year. Please review the entire revised holiday pay benefit and qualification requirements below. Any questions can be directed to our office at 734-665-3757. Thank you!

Revised Holiday Pay Benefit:

HOLIDAY PAY: You may be eligible to receive holiday pay for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. To qualify for each paid holiday, you must: • currently be on assignment; • have worked 1,500 hours during the 12 months preceding the 2021 holiday; and • work the scheduled day before and the scheduled day following the holiday. (You may arrange for pre-approved time off at your supervisor’s discretion and with Manpower’s approval.) Verification and holiday pay processing take approximately two (2) weeks after the holiday has occurred. Please keep in mind that the customer worksite at which you are assigned may be open for business on a Manpower-observed holiday and you may be scheduled to work.  In some cases, associates may qualify for additional holiday pay.
