Booming Job Market Expected for Michigan!

March 10, 2015

The latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey (MEOS) was released today by ManpowerGroup and U.S. hiring plans remain solid for Q2 2015 with employers in all 50 states having positive hiring Outlooks. Those most optimistic include employers in Michigan along with those in Idaho, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Oregon.

From April to June, 27% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 2% expect to reduce their payrolls. Another 67% expect to maintain their current staff levels, and 4% are not certain of their hiring plans. This yields a Net Employment Outlook of 25%.

“The survey shows employers’ staffing plans are stronger than Q1 when the Net Employment Outlook was 20%,” said Manpower spokesperson Becca Dernberger. “Job prospects are also expected to improve compared to last year at this time when the Net Employment Outlook was 19%.”
