Manpower is Making Strides Against Breast Cancer!
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just the name of an event – it describes the amazing progress the American Cancer Society, along with many volunteers, is making together in the fight to end breast cancer. This year, the American Cancer Society is celebrating 100 years of saving lives and Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan is excited and proud to return as a flagship sponsor!
To help us reach our goal, we have coordinated many FUNdraising events including a pancake breakfast, silent auction, tit-for-tat drawing, can/bottle drive, and bake sale to name a few. In addition, we have recruited over 300 walkers to join our Team Manpower in participating in the annual 5k walk on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor.
All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society to support the efforts to fund groundbreaking research, provide prevention and early detection information, advocate for all women to have access to mammograms and treatment, and offer free programs and services to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their loved ones.
